About This Blog

I don't really know why, but one christmas I was asked what I would like, and answered that a DSLR would be great. I got a neat Canon 1000D and happily started to take pictures. I quickly set up this blog as a way to force myself to do something with all my shots. It is a great tool to make me think what I want my photography to look like.
I decided to try to post one photo a day. A somewhat classic photoblog that would keep my taking pictures. I find it hard to keep up, but very rewarding.
I tried to post a haiku with every picture and managed to do it for a while, but a haiku and a photo a day is too much for me. So now they appear from time to time.

I try to keep a very light gear to take it everywhere with me (and a not so expensive one, which my wife is thankful for). So far I use :

Canon 1000D
Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM (my main lens)
Canon EF 28mm f2.8 (I'm very fond of this one too)
Canon EF 28-200mm f3.5/5.6 (only at 200mm to try to get some birds)
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f3.5/5.6 II, my first lens, not bad for its very low price, but I now seldom use it

The first three items are always in my pack.
